About Jessicah

Jessicah Pierre is a creative communications strategist and experiential producer whose work sits at the intersection of storytelling, culture, and community.

For more than a decade, she has helped global leaders, cities, and purpose-driven brands strengthen their public presence by communicating with clarity, authenticity, and meaningful impact.

A storyteller at heart with a strategist’s precision, Jessicah has built her career around a core belief: stories shape power — and when used with intention, they can reshape what’s possible for communities, leaders, and institutions. Her work centers on elevating underrepresented voices, generating trust, and crafting narratives that inspire collective action.

From Public Service to Cultural Strategy

Jessicah’s path has spanned public service, political communications, media strategy, and experiential production. Most recently, she served as the Chief Communications Officer for the City of Boston, where she led high-stakes messaging, reputation strategy, and public engagement efforts for one of the country’s most visible mayoral administrations. Prior to that, she served as Director of Strategic Communications at the Black Economic Council of Massachusetts and held roles at nationally recognized advocacy and policy organizations.

Visibility with Intention

Today, Jessicah brings that breadth of experience to her work as a strategist and creative consultant — supporting leaders, brands, and mission-driven organizations seeking to show up more powerfully in the world.

She has advised public officials, corporations, nonprofits, and social impact leaders on how to build trust, cultivate influence, and communicate in a way that feels both culturally grounded and future-forward.

J. Pierre Communications

Before stepping into government leadership, Jessicah founded J. Pierre Communications, a boutique communications firm dedicated to helping purpose-driven leaders and organizations amplify their missions. Through her firm, she has shaped messaging for national initiatives, developed platforms that increase civic engagement among young people, and built spaces for women of color to connect, lead, and thrive.

A Trusted Voice

Her work has been featured in outlets such as The Boston Globe, Glamour, NPR, USA Today, The Guardian, CNBC, and BET, reflecting her standing as a voice on storytelling, equity, leadership, and brand visibility.

Purpose, Always

Across every role — strategist, producer, advisor, speaker — Jessicah remains grounded in the same purpose: to craft stories and experiences that build community, shift narratives, and make room for more people to be seen.

When she’s not shaping narratives for others, Jessicah is passionate about mentoring young women, designing creative spaces that nurture belonging, and helping the next generation see themselves as storytellers, leaders, and architects of their own futures.
